Advancing Sustainable Business: Dr. Nyangon Co-Authors New Chapter on Climate Innovation
Dr. Nyangon, alongside Prof. John Byrne, Dr. Job Taminiau, and Dr. Ariella She Lewis, co-authored a chapter in Collective Creativity for Responsible and Sustainable Business Practice, edited by Prof. Zika Fields. Titled Sustainable Business Model Innovation: Using Polycentric and Creative Climate Change Governance, the chapter examines how innovative business models can accelerate climate action and sustainable energy adoption worldwide.
The authors explore polycentric climate governance as a framework for implementing and scaling sustainable business models that achieve meaningful mitigation and adaptation outcomes. Highlighting the Sustainable Energy Utility (SEU) as a practical example, the chapter assesses UN-led initiatives aimed at supporting the diffusion of these models across diverse contexts.
Amid the global push to meet Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement’s commitment to limiting temperature rise, this work underscores the critical role of creative, multi-level governance and business innovation in shaping a sustainable energy future.
