Dr. Nyangon Joins Editorial Board of Energy Research & Social Science

On January 4, Dr. Nyangon was appointed to the Editorial Board of Energy Research & Social Science (ERSS), a leading peer-reviewed international journal examining the dynamic relationships between energy systems and society.

Published under the leadership of Editor-in-Chief Benjamin K. Sovacool, PhD, ERSS serves as a premier interdisciplinary forum for research at the intersection of energy technologies, markets, policies, and social systems. The journal brings together insights from across the social sciences to illuminate how energy production, distribution, and consumption are shaped by—and in turn shape—economic structures, institutions, communities, businesses, and everyday behaviors.

ERSS is widely recognized for advancing research that integrates social, economic, and technical perspectives, with a strong emphasis on cross-cultural, comparative, and mixed-methods approaches. The journal encourages scholarship that situates energy challenges within broader societal contexts, moving beyond purely technical analyses to address human causes and consequences.

Dr. Nyangon’s appointment reflects ERSS’s continued commitment to scholarly excellence and global perspectives in energy research. As a member of the Editorial Board, Dr. Nyangon will contribute to guiding the journal’s strategic direction and supporting high-impact research relevant to academics, practitioners, and policymakers working toward more equitable and sustainable energy systems worldwide.
